Ronald (Ron) E. Hogan - Advisor
Ronald (Ron) E. Hogan is a retired petroleum engineer and engineering manager with over 35 years of experience primarily in the Rocky Mountain States and Texas. His experience includes on site drilling operations, production engineering, consulting, operations management and budgeting. He retired from Questar Exploration and Production in 2005 as General Manager, Pinedale Division. Experiences include successful negotiations between conservation groups, the state and the BLM to secure winter drilling in an environmentally sensitive area for Questar Exploration and Production in the Pinedale, Wyoming area, Senate subcommittee testimony on behalf of the industry and Questar, presentations to groups including the BLM, Western Governors Association, mayors and governors, Washington D.C. - Dept. of the Interior and BLM leaders, and conservation organizations. The success of the winter drilling approach in the Pinedale area was subsequently utilized as the blueprint for development in the area by other major operators, an area which now ranks 3rd in size in the US‘s gas supply. The environmental organizations normally opposed to development declined to file law suits to stop the winter drilling recognizing this process to be superior to the regulatory requirements in existence at the time and several letters of support were secured from other conservation organizations. Mr. Hogan has been associated with CDC for several years providing recommendations regarding field operations of CDC clients and general engineering evaluations.
